Tips When Using Arctic Cold Caps Therapy

Please follow these guidelines to get the most out of your Arctic Cold Caps Therapy treatments. These steps are necessary in order to reduce hair loss.

  • The Arctic Cold Caps must be cooled to between -25° F and -30° F. This can be accomplished by utilizing laboratory freezers that may be available at your treatment centers, or they must be frozen in a cooler we provide with dry ice.
  • Arctic Cold Caps must be changed every 20 minutes
  • Arctic Cold Caps must be changed as quickly as possible to prevent scalp from warming.
  • Arctic Cold Caps must remain in tight contact with your entire scalp
  • Any hair dyes should be discontinued as soon as you decide to use Arctic Cold Caps therapy and for a period of 2-3 months afterward
  • Do not shampoo your hair at least 3 days before and 3 days after each treatment
  • Use only organic, clear shampoos and wash your hair no more than twice a week.

  • Arctic Cold Caps will provide a loose tooth comb during treatments which should be used very gently. Do not use hairbrushes, pull hair back, braid, or create any tension on hair.
